Union monuments at Gettysburg


Ohio sent over 309,000 men to the Union Army during the Civil War, but most fought in the Western Theater. About 4,400 were at Gettysburg. (see the States at Gettysburg) There are 18 Ohio monuments at Gettysburg honoring 13 infantry regiments, a regiment and two companies of cavalry, and four artillery batteries.
