Union monuments at Gettysburg


New Hampshire sent over 33,000 men to the Union Army in the Civil War. Over 900 men from New Hampshire fought at Gettysburg, suffering 368 casualties. (see the States at Gettysburg) They were organized into three infantry regiments, an artillery battery, and three companies of sharpshooters, who are honored by five monuments.
