East Confedarate Avenue starts on the southeast side of Gettysburg at the corner of East Middle Street and Liberty. It heads southeast out of town and loops around the base of Culp’s Hill, the starting point for the Confederate attacks on July 2nd. It ends at Spanglers Spring, where you must turn back north on one way avenues over the Union lines on Culp’s Hill. East Confederate Avenue is not part of the Auto Tour.
