The marker to the 2nd Rockbridge Artillery is west of Gettysburg on West Confederate Avenue. (Tour map: West Confederate Avenue – Pt. 1)

The battery was commanded at Gettysburg by Lieutenant Samuel Wallace.

July 1. In position near Chambersburg Pike west of Herr’s Tavern and actively engaged in the evening.

July 2. Occupied this position and was actively engaged. Had one gun disabled.

July 3. Remained here and was actively engaged.

July 4. Withdrew at evening to Marsh Creek on Fairfield Road.

Losses not reported in detail.
