On the evening of July the 106th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment assisted in repelling the charge of Confederate General Ambrose Wright’s Georgia Brigade, making a countercharge to the Emmittsburg Road near the Codori farm. It recaptured the guns of Browns Rhode Island Battery, and captured 250 prisoners, including Colonel Gibson, 5 captains and 15 lieutenants of the 48th Georgia Infantry Regiment.
