Captain Michael Wiedrich’s Battery I (map) fought on Cemetery Hill, including the Confederate assault on the evening of July 2 which is also featured on the 73rd Pennsylvania’s monument and the bombardment preceding Pickett’s Charge. By the end of the battle only one piece was still operational, although Wiedrich was able to proudly bring all six off the field.
