Army and Corps Headquarters Markers
The marker is a 4.5 inch Siege Rifle (sometimes called a 4.5 inch Ordnance Rifle) cast in 1863 by the Fort Pitt Foundry in Pittsburgh. It was placed in 1913 by the Gettysburg National Military Park Commission.

Major General John Sedgwick’s Union Sixth Corps Headquarters Marker is south of Gettysburg on the west side of Sedgwick Avenue. It is about 180 yards north of Major General Sedgwick’s equestrian monument. (39°47’59.6″N 77°14’03.9″W)
